|
- CHANGED: Initial modifications to make PocketFMS Desktop compatible with the new servers.
|
|
Version 2.0.6, Internet released 15AUG2013. | [Top] |
|
- CHANGED: File "BrowserFormPt-Aust Flight Notification.xslt" is removed from the installer.
- CHANGED: Because breadcrumb files are copied via PocketFMS Cloud, the breadcrumbs directory contains various file formats for the same breadcrumb (*.kml, *.brc) and old breadcrumbs (brc*. without any extension). The File | Load Breadcrumb routine tried to filter so it only lists files without extension, or the .brc extension, but it turns out the windows fileDialog cannot work with the "without extension" file type correctly. So we changed the filter to *.brc, and all files beginning with brc (aka brc*.*).
- CHANGED: The Breadcrumb loader now offers different file extension options.
- CHANGED: MGL, Pat Avionics and Advanced Flight Systems EFIS exports now ask if heliports should be included as well.
- FIXED:
After having selected a breadcrumb file that came from the Cloud, attempting to load a different breadcrumb file caused PocketFMS Desktop to crash because a file-in-use exception was encountered trying to determine the md5 value of the open breadcrumb file to check to see if it should be re-downloaded from the Cloud.
- FIXED: Sometimes when loading a large waypoints.txt file in PocketFMS Desktop, the application would crash.
- FIXED: If a FlightPlan was saved with option File | Properties | Flight Planning | "Sync with EasyVFR via PocketFMS Cloud" enabled and the speed unit was not in knots, then on load of that FlightPlan the IAS was multiplied by the conversion faktor, even if the FlightPlan was not loaded in EasyVFR.
- UPDATED: A new version of external tool "waypoint import.hta" is included.
- UPDATED: A new version of "Appn-NAIPS Online Notification.exe" is included.
- UPDATED: A new version of UI Editor.hta is included.
- UPDATED: A new version of "Excel NavLogPt Colm Farrell.xls" is included.
- UPDATED: A new version of Advanced Flight Systems (AFS) export has been included.
- UPDATED: A new version of the EFB Document Manager is included.
- UPDATED: Startup files for Avi8tor devices were not included in the InstallerPacks for AUS, EUR, CAN and USA, only in the updater. These have been added now as well.
- NEW: A new breadcrumb import tool is included that can read Dynon Skyview logfiles.

- UPDATED: A new version of EFB Document Manager.exe has been included.
- UPDATED: The Australian .dtl flight plan file format has been updated to the latest version.
- NEW: Added airspace type for UK Squawk Areas.

|
Version 2.0.4, Internet released 12FEB2013. | [Top] |
|
- FIXED: When zooming-in at circular airspaces the labelling would go wrong for these airspaces.
- FIXED: The gradient shading background was removed from the TO/LD tab system to prevent the black-on-black tickboxes.
- FIXED: The matter with quotes around parameters when calling EFB Document Manager.exe was resolved.
- IMPROVED: When downloading other data than WX data with an Australian FIR active the application would warn when no NAIPS credentials were known. This is now limited to downloading WX data only.
- IMPROVED: When no NAIPS credentials were entered, the application would refuse to download any data considering the missing credentials an error. This is now handled as a warning and download will still continue, only the WX will not be actually downloaded when no credentials are known.
- IMPROVED: When doing right-click | EFB Manager, an additionaly parameter is inserted with the airfield name when calling EFB Document Manager.exe.
- IMPROVED: This release of PocketFMS Desktop includes an enhanced EFB Document Manager which provides new functionality in several regions:
- Australia:
- Download current AIP ERSA entries for all listed airports or filter by NAIPS Briefing Area, with a single click;
- Download current AIP DAP Aerodrome Charts for all listed airports, or filter by NAIPS Briefing Area, with a single click;
- Generate and save the current NAIPS Location Briefing for a right-clicked airport, or by choosing from a list of airports;
- Generate and save the current NAIPS Area Briefing for the Area around a right-clicked airport, or by choosing from a list of Briefing Areas.
- Canada:
- Generate a current AWWS NOTAM Bulletin for a right-clicked airport;
- Generate a current AWWS METAR/TAF Bulletin for a right-clicked airport.
- New Zealand:
- Download the current NZAIP Aerodrome Charts for all listed airports with a single click.
- USA:
- Download a PDF of the A/F D page for a right-clicked airport, or by choosing from a list of airports.
- NEW: A new option "two way sync" is available in File | Properties, Flightplanning Options tab. When ticked, PocketFMS Desktop will pickup FlightPlan changes done on iOS/Android platforms using the XML file format and will no longer load the old .fpn format. As a result the old WinCE/Win Mobile device sync will not be kept in sync anymore! On first run of this version the application checks if a WinCE/Windows Mobile sync was ever performed before, and if so it will set this option default to false, otherwise true. A PocketFMS Desktop user who has fully migrated from WinCE to Android/iOS as their mobile device can then simply set this tickbox manually.
- NEW: If in File | Properties | Flightplanning options tab the option "Sync saved FlightPlans in PocketFMS cloud" is ticked then when the user loads a breadcrumb (File | Select breadcrumb file) all uploaded breadcrumbs from iOS/Android will be downloaded to the PocketFMS Desktop client. This includes both the binary and the kml version; only the binary version will be listed in the next-upcoming file dialog, but when the user uses explorer to browse to <my documents>\breadcrumbs he will find the kml too. Uploading the binary version must still be done in the iOS/binary version, but at least the desktop version is prepared now.
- NEW: Airspace type LARS (UK) is available.
- NEW: Added option File | EFB AeroData export | Advanced Flight Systems. This will allow users of Advanced Flight Systems to update their EFIS. This is still in Beta.
- UPDATED: A new version of AustraliaWX.EXE is included.
